PRICES INCLUDE:

•  Sole use of campsite booked and all facilities available on that site, including kitchen, flush toilets, wash rooms, showers and the whole of the field for fun and games!
•  The price we charge includes the allocation of 1 canvass ridge tent (14` x 12`) per 5 persons. This ensures that you have at least a minimum requirement of tents included in your initial cost. However depending on the age and sex distribution of your camp, plus any other factors relevant to your particular group, you may wish to hire additional tents (see additional equipment hire).
•  Groundsheets covering whole area of ridge tent.
•  1 Marquee suitable for your camp numbers with tables and chairs/benches.
•  Available on site Number 1 only. Purpose built activity hall. This has facilities for television and video which can be hired separately (please see additional equipment hire).

PRICES EXCLUDE:

•  Gas and electricity which is charged at metered rates.
•  Hot showers, which are 20p for 5 minutes, (20p coins required).
•  Beds and additional ridge tents which are available for hire.
•  Site 1 only. Pool table available at 40 pence per game.
•  Additional marquee hire, suitable for evening and wet weather programmes.

Kitchen information- all sites

All three kitchens are very well equipped and will have all the equipment you need to cater for your camp. Including , aluminium baking trays (deep sided and flat), whisks, mixing bowls, measuring jugs, pots and pans, ladles, tongs etc.

Please note. We do not supply items for cleaning such as: dishcloths, scourers, oven cleaners, detergents and general cleaners. We do not supply personal plates, cups, bowls and cutlery.
We do not have deep fat fryers for Health and Safety reasons.
There are no mixers or food processors in any of the kitchens.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Twelve weeks before your due camp date you will be asked to complete an Equipment Form to confirm your final numbers.  You will then receive an Invoice of your camp. This payment is due eight weeks before the start date. Please make sure you are able to pay the final invoice for gas and electric and any extra equipment or additional numbers on your final day of camp.
2. When you arrive on the site a Vectis representative will be there to make sure you have everything you need and issue any extras you may have requested. They will also make a note of the gas/electric reading at the start and end of your camp which will be calculated and added to your final invoice on your last day.
3. The Vectis representative will only be on site during the weekend, therefore should you have any questions or concerns, please make sure the representative is aware of this before they leave the site on Sunday.
4. Storage tents are not provided. Most people utilise the Marquee for such purposes, however we are able to supply additional ridge tents at a cost of £40.00 each that you could use for storage should you wish to do so. Please note that Site 1 & 2 kitchens have large walk in larders for storage purposes.
5. Ferry Bookings: you are responsible for your own ferry arrangements. We are happy to offer advice and guidance if requested. You should be aware that all ferry companies are extremely busy on Saturdays during the summer and you should therefore make your arrangements as soon as you have booked your camp. Even if you’re exact numbers are not known you should make some arrangements to avoid disappointment.
6. You should ensure you have a supply of toilet rolls, hand wash/hygienic wash at the start of your camp. Vectis is usually able to help in this respect should there be an emergency!
7. All campers (if not hiring our beds) should bring something to sleep on that raises them off ground level, however slightly. At night time, being so close to the sea it can be quite cold even when the daytime weather is really hot.
8. The site and all the equipment is your responsibility for the whole week of your hire.

Vectis Youth Camps is a voluntary organisation. We provide high quality camping and are able to keep the price extremely reasonable only with the help and co-operation of all the site users.
